This is a great resource for both new visitors and repeat guests to Oahu. I bought the paper book a couple of editions back from a used book store before my first visit, and Im so glad that I found the updated app. Ive visited Oahu 3 times and Ive used the app every single time to find something new to visit. Ive even bought the Maui app for when we finally make a trip to that island.

I read the book cover to cover before our trip and used both the maps in the book and the app while there. Both were amazing! It was so easy to find a beach or attraction in the app and get gps directions with one tap. I highly recommend the app for that reason aline! I had another guidebook as well, but this was much more useful and pointed out sites that the other failed to mention!

Cannot say enough how happy I was with this App. I had bought the guidebook but the app made it so easy to click on a map location, hit nearby, find where I wanted to go and click map it - voila - instant turn by turn google map directions. We saw so many sights that I guarantee most visitors dont see or even know about! Spitting Cave and the adventure tunnel at Lanai Lookout were two that stand out!

This app helped make our first trip to Oahu a great one! You just click on a name on the map and info about the location pops up. The GPS locator helps you locate places close to you, too. I do wish the app developers would make it so that once you mark a location as a favorite, it indicates same on the map. This would make it much easier to kept track of what you want to see without having to keep checking the locations time and time again. Regardless, I highly recommend this app!

Some bad moments

The app gives you some of whats in the book but not everything. It should be included with the book for free. It will map out 1 place at a time and you can create a list of favorite things but the app wont show them on the map. Thats a real missed opportunity. I would not have purchased it had I known this.

The app has very little information. The map doesnt even identify most of the side streets. Many free apps are better.
